Hey

ive just set a new SD Card.
Controlls are easy an fast to set.
So about the CRT lookalike filters.

Do i hve to set it to every single game ? Or is it possible to set ( example ) a sepecial
Filtersetup just for the NEO GEO Core so that every game do launch with this filter setup ?

Thanx :)

Yes, you can define global or per core visual preferences.

First you need to define the parameters. You can download some here (+instructions)
https://misterreplay.com/mister-fpga-gu ... apter19xiv

To set one of these as your global setting, simply edit your MiSTer.ini file and change this line:
preset_default= MrRePlay/01_Default_CRT

Where the path/filename is to your specific folder and preset. Make sure the line isn't commented out (no semicolon ; in front of the line)

You can also do it per core by adding a core exception. This has to be placed at the very end of your INI file like this:

; Core name exception note here
[Core name]
preset_default=MrReplay/01_Default_CRT

Save and restart to take effect.

Exactly, I use a global setting and change it occasionally per core. Usually either the lighter or darker version.

Notable exception is the missing gamma configuration preset. No idea why it's omitted, but the limitation can be circumvented.

In /media/fat/config/, files named setname_gamma.cfg save the per-game gamma setting. Those can apparently be simply copied from one game to another, though I wouldn't be surprised if all cores didn't support it.

FWIW, I'm omitting any copy-paste shell commands because if you don't know how to do this, you shouldn't be doing it. It'd be much more productive anyway to find and fix what's preventing this from being a proper config preset.

Doesn't preset_default respect gamma settings?

Are you only talking about not using a default preset?
