We can put games onto an USB drive - into /media/usb0/games/<core name> - and have core menus pick up the extra location automatically. At least that is what I believe the current situation to be. Correct me if I'm wrong.
What would happen if a second usb drive was added?
Is it possible?
Would it also work automatically or is there some setup involved?
Thanks for your help!
Use more than one usb drive
Re: Use more than one usb drive
Was given a good answer by Rysha:
Currently the mister will search through up to 6 usb drives to find games for a core. It will start at usb0, continue through usb1 etc., until it finds a folder named after the core, or it terminates after not finding such a folder on usb5. As an example (disclaimer: I'm not 100% sure about the core names - just read this as a demonstration):
Assuming a system has two usb drives and the following folders:
/media/usb0/games/nes/
/media/usb1/games/snes/
/media/usb0/games/genesis/
/media/usb1/games/genesis/
The mister will see:
/media/usb0/games/nes/
/media/usb1/games/snes/
/media/usb0/games/genesis/
but not
/media/usb1/games/genesis/
