Questions on Getting Started FPGA Digital to Analog Sound CRT

Just got a Sony KV-32FS10 and want to give the MiSTerFPGA a go. I only see Digital boards available but figure I can use the VGA to Component cable to hook into the TV as I have seen in some youtube videos but now im getting conflicting information in that im seeing I should use HDMI2VGA and from there I guess VGA > Component? . Or should I look to do something else different? Slightly confused with the Digital vs Analog boards as it sounds like analog is the one I would want but those are out of stock currently.

As far as audio if I were to get a Digital to Analog Audio DAC Converter to go from TOSLINK from FPGA to the adapter and then output the RCA (red/white) cables into the TV, would that work? Or do I need to wait for the analog IO board?

Take a look at some of the direct video info (using the HDMI out for Analog to CRT) if you haven't already investigated -

For audio not sure, some of those direct video guides probably cover it. You can definitely take the toslink out and convert it to analog using some adapter, or maybe an hdmi audio extractor if the hdmi direct video sends audio out on the hdmi. Don't use the built-in 3.5mm audio out on the MiSTer, very high amount of background noise.
