Help with SNAC and IO Board 5.6-xl

Hi to all, can someone guide me to what to buy for using SNAC on an IO Board 5.6-xl?
I want (if I can) not to upgrade the IO board
can I use SNAC? I need a level shifter? can I use a zapper, super scope, guncon? ps1 wheels?
I´m a total Newbie to SNAC and want to use it
