Oled not working with Ironclad+ and internal mt32-pi hat

Unread post by OnkelB »

Hello!

Im tinkering with my Ironclad+ Mister setup. I got the older mt32-pi hat not the new one called "pro" and its connected to a pi zero 2w.
I got it set up and it is working fine with the modified minimig core that i have been testing with. All good so far!

So i was thinking i was going to add a tiny display to the setup. I got this one with 4 connector pins from Aliexpress.

I connected it with some dupont cables to the 4 corresponding pins on the pi hat.

But no matter what i try i can get no image to display on it.

In the mt32-pi github the display is listed as compatible and tested.

I have edited the cfg file with the above info. I tried both "0x3c" and "3c" as the i2c_lcd_address. But no luck.
I can get an OSD version of the display to show up on the TV from the Mister menu. But nothing is happening on the Oled.

Maybe the thing is just dead? Or have i missed something important? What do you think?

Do you have the possibility to test the display with another system (arduino etc.)?
Maybe a friend can help?
Where are you located, Germany?
