3 button Lightgun Mapping

I am sorry to ask this but I am banging my head against the wall here. I have a gun4ir thats calibrated and setup on the gun itself. However now I need to map it in the Mister or lets say the PSX core for example. Ever time I try to map it, it asks for arrow assignments first which this gun does not have on it. From the looks of it I am not given the option to by pass the arrow mappings either. Any one else have success on mapping a 3 button input device?
I have backed up my configs in /media/fat/config/inputs/ to another folder (/meda/fat/old_configs/. Then delete all of them and retried to map. One person suggested to when mapping the buttons on the psx core iteself, to press any key on the keyboard in order to be able bypass buttons from there. However if I do that it will only take input from the keyboard and not the gun4ir.
Thanks for your time and help

Thats the exact video I watched and have been talking to him. You can't bypass the initial right arrow bind, if you press something on the keyboard then it locks to keyboard input only... no gun4ir input in regards to mapping. If I press any of the 3 buttons on the gun4ir to get past that right arrow, well now I only have to buttons that are usable. Tried this on both the psx and nes cores
Even in the video when he is showing how to map the psx core, there is no option to bypass the first bind. See attached screenshot from video.

All my lightguns have a dpad, so I never really noticed the problem you mentioned. Guess you will have to lose one button to map the unskippable dpad press. I am waiting for a openfire kit to arrive to mod a guncon but with a trigger and 2 buttons would end up with the same problem as you on mister. I did order that before the sinden gun got mister support so will end up using that exclusively on Mister and the openfire gun on PC.
