Hey everyone,
Im a total noob and this is my first MiSTER build so please be patient with me as theres a decent learning curve. Ive only ever built 2 PCs before.
My current setup is just a barebones de10 with a fan and a small micro usb hub. I do not have any i/o board as im just planning on using hdmi. Which is where my problem lies.
Ive used mister fusion, made my image and inserted my microsd card but when i turn it all on for initial setup im getting no signal out its just a black screen. Ive made sure the hdmi cord works.
Thanks for any and all suggestions

2 things come to mind:
First is the SD card in the correct orientation?
Have you verified dip switch position?

Standard problem solving
Simpilify the problem
Start with just the DE10, no ram, no USB hub connected. Create a new Mr Fusion Image on a new SD card. Connect to a HDMI display and see what happens. Dont edit any INi files, try to get wifi working. You want to be testing the absolute minimum install
If that fails try another HDMI cable, doesnt matter you think the one you has works it may not with your mister. Also try another HDMI port on the Monitor/TV

Thanks everyone i got it working. Now im onto a whole new set of problems. Mainly roms not loading on some cores. The learning curve may be too much for me.
Im currently banging my head trying to figure out how to try to download roms in binary mode.
If anyone can explain this to me like im 12 id appreciate it. Its way over my pay grade. Ive at least got the n64 roms in the “no intro” format which seems like a step in the right direction. Just trying to figure out why they are just black screening when i try to load them

Have you run update_all from the scripts menu?
look up romweasel.
I didn't find any specific roms for N64 per se, but I believe they need to be z64

Thanks man appreciate the info. Ill work more on it tonight
I have run update all twice now. Its saying missing directory or something.
I have roms in 2 filetypes. .n64 and .v64
I guess ill try to hunt down .z64 versions

When you run update_all make sure to watch for the prompt to push UP to enter settings and enable everything that looks relevant.
