I saw this and thought it looked interesting. I haven't been able to load any games. Interested if anyone else has had any luck?

Yes of course, but that is not my question.

I dabbled with it on original hardware with mixed success, got a few non-enhancement chip games working but far too choppy for me to consider playable.

I have not tried it on the MiSTer core.

I think Video Game Esoterica did a YouTube video some months back on the back on a NES (?) emulator running on the N64 core, but I don’t think it was this project. I recall it ran as expected…

It is hilarious to me to see it the core running emulators, even if it is otherwise kind of pointless. 😂 Really proves it the quality of the work Robert put into the project that even niche custom ROMs that were never released commercially still function.

I’ll have to go look for it. I agree it is pointless for me, it just seemed like a possible test of core compliance. Not that I have any complaints at all. The core is awesome.

Is this really any different than Super Game Boy in the SNES core?

Yes, this would play SNES games utilizing the N64 core… :D

Maybe someone could run the SGB emulator in Sodium64 in the N64 core?!

I think that’s how the flux capacitor was conceived
1.21 gigawatts!

I've tested it with the normal core, and with the 80MHz version. Both behave similarly. The game logic works, i.e. you can "play" because the emulation seems to be keeping the correct state and the sprites being more or less in the position they are supposed to be, but the tiles are having tons of flickering.
