Can't SSH, FTP, ping MiSTer

Unread post by thisisamigaspeaking »

My MiSTer is working fine and I can connect from it to the samba share it uses on my RPi over ethernet. NTP works etc. But I can't ping, ssh or ftp to the MiSTer. Latest version of MiSTer firmware. Old posts say there are scripts to turn on ssh and ftp servers but I don't see them.

I am pretty sure there is nothing in my firewall blocking it as my RPi is on the same LAN and it works fine. It is on a different VLAN than the RPi but my router's firewall and NAT don't do anything based on VLANs (that I know of) and the MiSTer is able to connect to the RPi. My computer is on a different LAN but again it works to the RPi.

Thanks.

that could be a subnet problem looking from your description, can you ping the pc you're trying to connect to or can you ping the mister from your pc?

I can't ping the mister from my computer. Turns out now that I look at it I actually can't connect to the RPi anymore from the computer. I did make some changes to the router, nothing that should be blocking traffic, but I'll look there.

edit: Yeah there's some issue with the VLAN configuration which I don't understand. I'll have to read more about VLANs and configuring the switch. Thanks.
