Same thing for me and a my friend. Anyone can help?
Could it be that the servers are down or something similar?
It just that the archive.org page it was downloading roms from is now requesting to be connected to allow download (i think it's a archive.org thing when there is a high volume of downloads on a page)... According to the github, workarounds a looked into, but until then you have to download these roms manually from https://archive.org/download/mame-merged/mame-merged/
god help the internet archive.
mirror(s) mirror(s) on the wall. please preserve the data of... all!
God's one thing, but please donate to archive.org if you can as well. It's the best site on the internet, and a distant memory of how things were before the web got all locked down by big corpos.
So I've also done this numerous times and now on the archive none of the files are available to download as they all have locks on them. This doesn't appear to be a good sign at the moment.
Something that does not fit a project so complicated and so beautiful but with files very susceptible to blocking... I can't get Wwf to download either... I got a full set version mame 0.250
No auto install will work. The archives that are pulled from were all flagged log in required, possibly due to being flagged as high bandwidth. When this occurs the update script cannot log in and so nothing can be pulled. The Arcade games use merged mame roms. So any Modern, the cuurent being .269, merged set should work fine.
The archives are not locked, you just simply need to create an account if you want to manually pull from archive
If it's of any help I'd happily provide mirror space for such files.
It's being worked on.
haha I know! I created an account and used JDownloader to download the entire rom set, so I just had to copy directly from my PC to the SD card, so that's not bad but now I can back these up on my NAS.
LMK What's needed to make a MIRROR and if I Can do it I'll upload them.

Is it possible to download everything from the links from the .org? If not, please do so here privately, thanks.
Should be fixed
Any update on this? Is it ‘fixed’? I’ve been hesitant to update..
It is fixed. And even when it wasn't, it didn't delete anything so it was perfectly safe to update
