SNAC / User Port on v9.2 Analog I/O Board
Looking for some help in setting up or troubleshooting a new Mister Pi FPGA clone.

SNAC V1 adapter from misteraddons(.)com - SNAX64 REQUIRES IO ANALOG 6.1 / IO DIGITAL 1.2 AND NEWER per their page
As soon as the SNAC V1 adapter is plugged in to the User IO port, the entire stack powers down, as if the power cable were unplugged. I've tried various configurations - no USB hub, no DAC, what have you - and it's the same behavior every time. Using the extension cable that came with the adapter by itself doesn't cause a power down, so I don't think it's a short - but as soon as the adapter is introduced, power down happens.
I've talked to both Misteraddons support as well as Retro Remake support, and gotten varying statements that don't give me warm fuzzy feelings.
From Retro Remake:
Our port isn't compatible with the old form of SNAC adapters that require a second PCB before the actual control is connected.

Hmm, I am not familiar with [the Misteraddons adapter]. This is the style that we test. Just ignore the longer board on the right. That one isn't needed on the v9.2 board.

This was confusing to me. The product overview youtube video from Taki shows that the I/O board is interchangeable and works on a DE10-Nano, and while there are minor differences the I/O board is labeled as a v9.2 board the same as I can get through other stores. I know that doesn't mean it's 1:1, as it doesn't have a secondary micro SD card port for instance. I'm not sure what other variations there are.
MisterAddons reply indicated that they didn't know what Retro Remake meant by the responses, either. Though they are sending me a second, hand-tested working SNAC adapter so I can at least test that here in a few days.
Is this a problem with the I/O board? Is this a problem with using a v1 adapter and I need to go with a SNAX64 adapter? Is this something else I'm overlooking with the setup like flipping a dip switch on the FPGA? (I have checked, and the smaller dip switches are in the correct UDUDUU positions.) Any help or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. Really hope it's something basic I'm overlooking somehow.
