What do y’all use to connect original Saturn controllers to your Misters? I see there’s SNAC and Daemonbyte based adaptors. Do they both work with the 3D controller? Any gotchas I should be aware of? Thanks in advance

Re: Using original Saturn controllers
SNAC only currently works with digital pads. The core is still in active development so it should only be a matter of time. Please be patient.
For now USB/Bluetooth controllers with analog sticks work absolutely fine.

Re: Using original Saturn controllers
I just got around to installing the BIOS files for the Saturn core last night. I planned on trying my Saturn controller today, as I use a BlisSTer IO board. I've used original controllers successfully for all of the other LLAPI cores I usually play (NES, SNES, Genesis/SegaCD/32X, PSX, 7800/2600 (including paddles), ColecoVision). It also lets me use the SNES pad for GB/GBA. The only ones that are finicky to get working are the Atari Paddles and ColecoVision controller, since you have to hold buttons down while resetting the LLAPI port.
Anyway, since Saturn also has one, I'll give it a try today and report back if that's of interest. I know - doesn't seem to be a popular option, but I've had it for a few years now and it does everything I ask of it. It was also convenient that I owned a BLiss-Box beore it, so I already had all the adapters for it, except for New-Geo, which I finally got around to purchasing about a year ago.
UPDATE: Well, I just tried configuring a Retro-Bit Saturn controller through the BlisSTer and it seems that MiSTer itself is having issues detecting the controller properly. When I go through the MiSTer's button mapping routine, it appears to detect a gamepad when I start the process, but the MiSTer only seems to detect Right, Left and Up on the D-Pad. None of the face nor shoulder buttons are detected. This is the same with original Model 1 controllers, as well as the MK-80112 and HSS-0136. I did a little extra research and found that Saturn controller support was primarily added in v3.0.32 of the firmware, which is what the current Blisster updater script downloads from the LLAPI Github.
That said, I also tried my original Saturn 3D controller and my Retro-Bit Bluetooth Saturn gamepad (with the Saturn Bluetooth receiver plugged into the BlisSTer Saturn port), and they are working fine (both in Digital and the 3D gamepad in Analog mode) so far.
