Is it possible to add drive sounds when loading games?

I miss the Commodore drive sounds. I know the Atari 800 core has this.

Is this possible?

Possible, most certainly.
The issue is finding a dev willing to make the required changes.

I have several ideas for core additions but lack the requisite skill to add them so I just sit and hope :)

That's one of the things I like about my 64, remember being told to get to bed, all I was doing was formatting a disk in the 1541 they were that loud! :)

It would be an amazing feature for the C64. The Ultimate II+ emulates drive sounds for the 1541 and 1581 and I can tell you that it brings the experience of using a C64 to completion.
