Any good new Saturn controllers with original style controller plugs?
How about the Retro Fighters BrawlerGen? For that controller do I want Saturn adapters or Genesis adapters for the Reflex Adapt?

I use the Retrobit Sega Saturn Pro controller, it comes with 2 wireless dongles one for USB and one for the Saturn and works fine.
The only problem there is no original style controller plugs.
Wjy do you want original style connectors. For a Mister unless its a very specialist controller its far easier to just use a USb connection via a daemobyte or Reflex Adapt. They are bot very fast sub 1 m/s and so will give no appreciable lag and as they wont need to go via SNAC they can also be used on the menus.

As i wrote, the Retrobit controller has original style controller plugs, you can use it either with USB or on a real Saturn.

I'm looking for original style connectors so I can use the Reflex Adapt. An analog controller/connector hooks up to the Reflex Adapt which then connects to the MiSTer via USB.

Interesting. It must convert the analog signal to digital and then back to analog again when connecting to a real Saturn? If so I would think it introduces lag which wouldn't exist with a purely analog controller.

I didn't realize the original Saturn controllers are digital. Are there any that are analog for zero latency into the Reflex Adapt?

Seems that Retrobit isn't producing the controller any more, at least not at the moment. I only find it on German Amazon:

Still not sure what you mean by "analog for zero latency", if you mean by this that each button and each direction of the pad triggers a signal on a single line of the controller cable that is received on the corresponding pin of the console connector, then this is not how the Saturn pad worked. While the Sega master System and Megadrive worked that way, the Saturn pad used a chip to poll the inputs and transmit the signal to the console.
If you're in the US, look around - there are still some 3rd parties selling the Retro-Bit controller with the Saturn connector. It's perhaps a little more expensive than the original MSRP, but nothing crazy from what I've seen. FWIW, it's a really decent alternative to original controllers IMHO.

There are a lot of new Saturn controllers out there but I can't find anything with a d-pad and analog stick that's wired with original style connectors. Do I need to use the original 3D gamepads?

I posted in the other "Original controllers" thread, but when I tested this a few weeks ago against my BlisSTer, I discovered that my NONE of my original Saturn digital controllers worked - that means my Model 1, HSS-0136 and MK-80112 Virtua Sticks, nor Retro-Bit pads worked. What DID work were my Retro-Bit Wireless Bluetooth Saturn gamepad (with corresponding Saturn Bluetooth receiver) and my original Saturn 3D controller, both with the Saturn core running with the controller setting in Digital mode. Not sure if this is an issue with the core still, or if it's specific to my BlisSTer firmware. I had already checked in the LLAPI Github that, although they are not including the latest Bliss-Box firmware, they are using the version that introduced Saturn controller support.
It sounds like I should go with the original 3D controller. Can I use it with every Saturn game even if the game doesn't use the analog pad?

The pad has a button to switch between analog and digital controls, it should work with all games.
