Retro Fighters Saturn/Genesis controller + Reflex Adapt

The Retro Fighters BrawlerGen controller has two outputs. One for the Genesis and one for the Saturn. Which output should I use with the Reflex Adapt?

I read that Saturn controllers are digital and Genesis controllers must be analog so maybe I should use Genesis adapters with the Reflex Adapt for lower lag?

Would the analog pad work in a Saturn game through the Genesis adapter?

With the exception of the Saturn 3D controller, all Sega controllers are fully digital.

The BrawlerGen has a digital pad and an analog pad and a Genesis connector and a Saturn connector. I wonder if the analog pad would work through the Genesis connector into a Reflex Adapt into a MiSTer when paying a Saturn game.

I think there is a slight confusion when it comes to the terms analog vs. digital here. As I understand @misterrocks from their previous post analog is meant in the way that every input in the pad is connected directly to a wire that leads to a connector in the socket and digital means that a chip inside the controller is polling the inputs and transmits them to a connector in the console that reads the signals in digital (meaning byte by byte form).

None of the modern controllers works every-input-has-its-wire-to-the-connector-way any more. I never used or opened the BrawlerGen controller, but I am 100% sure that there is a chip inside handling the signals from the button presses transmitting them to the connector.

I'm sorry to hear that but I'm sure you're right. Any reason to think a new controller with an old console style connector is likely to be lower lag than a controller with a USB connector? If not I guess new controllers with old console connectors should be tested for lag just like USB controllers?
