Which board do you have?
Which core are you using?
Did it work for you in a previous configuration?
What roms are you using, as in .neo or zipped roms...
I don't have any problems playing Neo Geo games with the 24bit analog IO board

Analog IO
USB board
VGA > Component
HDMI > FPM

I forgot the most important detail, the screen goes black via the VGA and COMPONENT connection too. Via HDMI it is normal as always.
