ZX Next 'Sinclair QL' Core to Feature 68030

Hi all,

I got this on an email, and it sounds like it could help Amiga, Apple and Atari Cores:

'Yes, you read it right, your Next can now run as a QL with full compatibility, performing as an accelerated QL featuring a 68030 processor running at 56MHz – a beast of a QL.'

I didn't think a 68030 Core had been written. Hopefully when the QL Core gets released towards the end of November then the 68030 part will get released or can be extracted.
I thought it was someone writing a 68030 FPGA implementation, which was holding back MiniMig (rather than FPGA space) from having this CPU incorporated.

Interesting, I don't know if it's viable, but interesting!!! Thanks.

I don't see how this can be real. What I think is that the QL core runs at the same speed as an accelareted QL with an 68030@56 MHz. My guess is the core still uses the Motorola 68008 as the CPU, just vastly overclocked.
