Help with some arcade roms

Unread post by Goran »

I put all bonze adventure mame zip files (all versione) in the arcade/mame folder and other games like vimana, doyuun, twin cobra, sky shark, alcon, slap fight, captain silver, batsugun, batsugun special edition, fire shark, hard head, hard head 2, spiderman, down town, my hero, vigilante, moonwalker, rainbow island, rainbow island extra, football champ, in the hunt, mace the dark age, motral kombat 4, wargods, progear, run & gun, run & gun 2, gundhara, shadow dancer, dark edge and made the update all.

It seems that none od them were downloaded as .mra file

Are the all not supportet and gnet, f3 and stv too?

And amother question. The roms for console and computer games do I have to put the zip files in their folder and make update all too or just put them in the right format in their folders?

A game is only supported if someone writes a core to support it. Simply downloading roms will not cause a core to be created if its not already been written.
So no there is no Rainbows Island Core, there is no F3. no STV and no Moretal Kombat 4 indeed some of those will never exist on the DE10 due to the limitations of the HW of the DE10

Consoles and computers require thier roms to be put in games/<<Core Name>> directory, also any bios that is required also has to be put there.

And like the Arcade games, dont download dreamcast games and expect a dreamcats core, it also doesnt exist.

if the game isnt supported you will never get the mra files. If the game is supported and you have the correct update all settings the Mra and rbf will be downloaded.

Jotego makes a great deal of the Arcade cores, so you will need to turn on the options to download these in update all, but be aware some of his cores are for his patreons and in beta so even if you get them they wont be functional unless you join his Patreon. Although he does make all his work available after a time.

No you need to configure it. Push up when you execute it to configure the script to grab what you need.

WARNING- Do not activate options you dont know about or you will cause issues. An example would be the DB9 cores that are only for people who chose to use unoffical HW with a DB9 port
