USB Hub Wiring Colors

My mister case is odd shaped and so i can’t use a bridge connector to connect the mister usb to the usb hub. Instead I’m going to have to solder a usb cable onto the board.

What solder points do the black/green/white/red wires go to? Assuming black is ground, what about d+, d-and id? I don’t want to damage my mister by getting the solder points wrong.

Do you have a multimeter? My suggestion woud be to find ground/vcc on where you intend to solder from, then the wiring (usually) goes:

  • Ground
  • Data+
  • Data-
  • VCC

Without seeing the USB hub you plan to use, I can't suggest much more.

Ta I can check with a multimeter but ended up ordering a new case and usb hub from Ali express. That way I can just use the usb connector block rather than a cable.
