Hi everyone as the title says my mister static background Disappeared with no reason and instead now I have a black screen , by pressing F1 in an hdmi tv i have 2 black options for 2 black background instead of having 1 static background and 1 black background and in my crt tv instead of the static background now i permanently have a black screen

The static screen is generated by Menu_MiSTer core which was updated a few days ago. Some releases from this year had complaints about broken static from some users, so it's likely that the latest release broke it again. If you are really bothered by the lack of static, you can try to download a previous menu version, rename it to "menu.rbf" and put it to the root of your SD card, but remember that it will be overwritten by an updater.

Instead of starting a new thread, I have an opposite problem. I ONLY have the static and am trying to get Ranny Snice's wallpapers back!

I have Ranny Snice's fantastic backgrounds enabled in update all. They seem to update.

At some point I probably messed with adding the Amiga monitor menu.png (or filename close to that) which was nice but I liked the variety Ranny offers. I got rid of the image file but the static is all that appears. Is there a setting I am missing?

Not sure if it helps, but the F1 key should cycle between the different background types (while in the menu core).

"F1" point 21 Gigawatts!!! Well don't I feel...sheepish. Thank you Lightwave!!
