Amiga and Amiga CD32 Question

Hi,

I had a question about running Amiga and Amiga CD32 games.

My basic question, is there a way to just pick a game from a list of both amiga and amiga cd32 games, click a button and load it?

I know there is the AmigaVision project that allows for fairly simple setup and running of games. But, unless something has changed recently, it looks like to run Amiga CD32 games you need to use the Mister Interface to mount the disc/chd and then launch it. Is there anyway to pick a cd32 game and have the mount and load in one shot?

It's not that I'm lazy, although I am, it's more about just having a simple UI/list to pick and game and go without messing about. You know, simplicity.

I'm still learning about the options so I wasn't sure it this already exists and I just haven't seen it or not.

Thanks!

You can add the Tooltype "NoWinBoot" to the CD32 emulator to make it autolaunch any game you mount in CD0. Of course you lose the ability to set your preferences for the game. If you are going for that setup you may want to launch regular AmigaVision, enable CD32 in that menu. Then you can mount your CD game in the OSD. Start the game, etc, without issuing an error. I'm not suggesting losing settings is the best idea, but it's an Amiga, you can always do it :-)

Appreciate the reponse.

I posted this when I first started messing with Amiga on the mister and AmigaVision. Now that I understand how things work a little better, my question probably didn't/doesn't make sense, as that isn't how things work. I was invisioning a way from launcher (AmigaVision) to pick a CD32 game and have the CD mounted and the core launched. But, I don't think that is possible the way the CDs get mounted. I think there is a way to have a list on the Mister menu. But, that isn't really what I wanted to do.

I'll just continue to use AmigaVision as it is really awesome!

Your understanding is quite correct in terms of what is (and isn't) possible.
