No sound out of HDMI

Greetings,

I am having difficulty getting sound to work via HDMI to my TV. I have the MiSter directly plugged into my TV's HDMI input, and just not able to get sound. I realize there are other options for sound output, but HDMI would be the most ideal solution for me. I have tried most of the suggestions on this forum, but nothing has worked. I do know, that if I hook the Mister UP to my computer monitor's HDMI input port, I can get sound out of it's audio out jack. I need the Mister work on my main TV though. I've tried making sure the audio quality is 42k/hz, I've tried changing my TV's HDMI audio input from 'bitstream' to 'pcm', and vise versa. All other HDMI devices with sound work just fine with my TV. I am up to date with the Mister project files, etc.

I've tried reseating the hdmi cable while already plugged in. I have a samsung 6 series tv I am trying to get the mister audio to work with. Any futher ideas or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Is it the same for all cores? I had a similar problem with a Samsung TV where the sound quality varied across cores from silence (ColecoVision) and stuttering (NES) to no issue (SNES).

Although you do not see it as ideal, you might need to convert the audio to analog. My solution was to buy an analog IO board and transmit sound through the 3.5 mm audio jack. An alternative is to use an HDMI splitter.
