When i try to load a N64 and a ROM with .n64 or .z64 the screen flashes once and is just a black screen with no sound. I have run the update_all.sh script. I can run the ROMs just fine on RetroArch. I am able to run SNSE, NES, GBA just fine with no issues. I have done a 30min SDRAM memory test it is running at 145MHz. Is there a setting or a BIOS issue i am missing?

You will be missing the bios files. Update all options should be checked, push up when launching the script and explore the options.

You need to consent in the options to allow the update-all script download the bios files. I wasted a lot of time troubleshooting much more complex solutions until I figured this out.
