Re: New HDR Settings

On my professional HDR monitor (BenQ PD3220U 32), it really looks incredible. I have a sony PVM next to it and it's striking how close we are getting now...

Thanks a lot for building this feature!!

Re: Sync Problem Rolling Picture Using direct_video Mode

Do you all still have issues with this? I can't get the PSX core to work on my Sony PVM using directvideo. Everything else works fine. I grabed a fresh mister.ini (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/master/MiSTer.ini), changed directvideo to 1 and composite sync to 1. Everything but the PSX core works fine. I also tried to r...

Re: Can't connect to modem in C64 core in CCGMS

No dice for me, still.

- In CCGMS, you do press "F7" and select "UP9600" as model type, but keep Baud Rate to 2400?
- In Mister, in "hardware" menu, RS232 is UP9600 and "internal" and UART mode is modem, TCP at 9600 bauds?

Thanks!

I haven't tried with JiffyDOS, just with the normal kernal, I can give it a shot. Interesting that CCGMS 2021 worked for you, the wiki explicitly said to not use it and that it's buggy.

Let me try with CCGMS 2021, thanks!

Re: Can't connect to modem in C64 core in CCGMS

When I try to type 'for instance "ATHELP', nothing happens, as if I were not connected to anything at all, so it seems like I can't even talk to the internal modem at all. Which kernal ROM are you using? From WIKI: "Note: DolphinDOS and SpeedDOS kernals have no RS232 routines so most RS232 software don't work with these kernals!" I ...

Re: Feature request: SSH key on the FAT partition (and bug report)

- I agree that the permissions of /root/.ssh/ are a bug/mistake and it can easily trip people trying to use SSH keys. - I also concur with your feature request, it would be useful. And not just for this file, but a number of other ones which make sense to change currently and which get clobbered at reboot. I actually had started fixing this bug and...

Can't connect to modem in C64 core in CCGMS

I am using CCGMS ultimate and I have the following settings: - Systerm rom: Standard C64 (for RS232 support) - RS232 mode: UP9600 - RS232 connection: Internal - UART mode: modem, TCP link, 9600 baud In CCGMS ultimate, with "F7", I changed the modem type to UP9600 When I try to type 'for instance "ATHELP', nothing happens, as if I wer...

Re: Can I use a VGA splitter with I/O board? ...or should I use HDMI Direct Video to VGA?

Yes, an Extron buffered output will work and preserve the signal's integrity without introducing latency (it's essentially what a proper "active" splitter is). The buffer prevents the "loading" problem I mentioned above, i.e. the MiSTer "seeing" 37.5 Ohm instead of 75.

Re: Can I use a VGA splitter with I/O board? ...or should I use HDMI Direct Video to VGA?

TL;DR: either use an active (powered) spliter or HDMI DV to VGA for best results, but a passive spliter will work with a dimmer image. Because some components of VGA signals can be high frequency, for impedance matching on transmission lines reasons, a proper VGA connection is done with a series 75 Ohm resistor on the source, a 75 Ohm (coax) cable ...

Re: antoniovillena.es

Could you explain how you wire the VGA port? 1. I know that you output sound with it (since your VGA to Scart has sound), and I would like to know on which pins that is. I would like to make sure that I can use a cable like this (https://www.extron.com/product/syvgamalefibncmaleca) to go to my PVM without any trouble (I do understand that this cabl...

Re: antoniovillena.es

I was finally going to my dream MiSTer kit from you, but it seems like you only sell it with SDRAM now... (BTW, bug report: the announce still says "This kit doesn’t include DE10 nano or SDRAM module.", even though that is no longer true. Is there any chance you would consider still selling a kit without SDRAM?
