I am using a HD Image from here: https://subsole.org/st_mint#with_an_emulator Surley not the latest. Latest EMUTOS, but also works with TOS 1.62 AFAIR. Its just running, haven't ried any apps apart from the ones on the desktop.

Re: MiSTer bundle from aliexpress
I had a different experience: Bought everything except the de10 (mouser) from 3 different sellers on ali: casing, ioboard, memory, 8bitdo, etc. Quality is fine and everything works as expected. Price was a steal compared to other onlineshops, so i could not be happier👍🏻 I spent quite some time comparing the offers. You have to examine the pictures ...

Re: Slow Transfer Speeds from MiSTer to PC
@Bas Thx! Intersting point about the encryption. Didn't think this would have such an big impact. Just switched to SFTP in Mozilla and speed drops down just like on command line with sftp. So that's actually the Problem, just as you said. What should be the fastest way to transfer files via network to/from mister? Samba is rather slow as well I thi...

Slow Transfer Speeds from MiSTer to PC
Hi, i have a Gigabit LAN connection from mister to my Macbook (green light at LAN port). When i transfer files from mister to my macbook in the shell I get around 8-10MB/s no matter what i use (SCP, RSYNC, SFTP). I am transfering one huge file, located on the mister sdcard. When using the FileZilla FTP client, I get about 20MB/s. Still very slow, b...

Re: Second Reality Demo
Just ran it from beginning to end credits, runs perfectly for me with the actual core. No Black Srceens no sync problems: I had the Audio "out of sync" Problem too, but setting Vsync to "Variable" in the core "Audio&Viedeo"-Settings fixed it for me. Perfectly synched! Used Option 2. EMM386 in miSTer ao486 startup m...

Re: How to create floppy image .img?
Came up with another easy solution for my Problem: Just copied one of the existing .img-files from the "floppy" dir to my Mac. The .img-File can be opened with a double click. Files can simply be removed/replaced with the desired files in Finder. Copied the modified .img-file back to miSTer. Done. Same can be done with .vhd-Files (just re...

How to create floppy image .img?
I wonder why I could not find this anywhere:
I have some .exe-files which I d like to access from ao486. How to do this?
For instance I could create a Floppy image from the files and mount the image in ao486. But how? I need a solution that works on macos.
Cheers
Ray
PS: I am looking for 2nd reality for mister, anyone got this on an image?

Re: Convert *.msa & *.stx to MiSTer *.st-files?
I found another solution: hmsa
It comes with Hatari and is a commandline tool for unix/linux/mac. It converts .msa to .st and back.

Thank you all for your answers! I am too lazy to convert things, so i searched a little more and found everything i was looking for in *.st-format.
Let me just say "TOSEC", awesome
miSTER is just great, it's like a Timemachine for me ....
Btw., anyone know how the HELP-Key is mapped on a PC-Keyboard?

Re: Convert *.msa & *.stx to MiSTer *.st-files?
So, if found an older thread asking about *.stx support which seems to be impossible at the moment: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2271
The thread also states, that *.msa-files are supported? How? I cannot select *.msa-files as a disk?

Convert *.msa & *.stx to MiSTer *.st-files?
Hi, downloading stuff for the Atari mostly results in .msa- or .stx-files. How can I convert those to the mister *.st format? There are some very old windows programs i found, but i am on a mac (don't wanna use wine or anything like that). How do you do it? Is miSTER ataricore support for .msa or .stx-file planned sometime in the future? Cheers, Ray

Re: Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hi, Disclaimer: i am new to this :) Tried to play some games, but failed to play with keyboard, as I have no joystick at the moment. I was doing the following: "Map Atari 800 buttons" -> assigned up/down/etc. to keys on the keyboard. Pressed Num-Lock until it shows joystick 1 (or 2, tried both). Fire-Button works, but I could not get up/d...

Which Cores work without additional ram?
Hi,
Just ordered my de10-nano, will arrive in a few days. 128gb ram is ordered as well, but coming from china, so it will take a month or so.
Therefore my question is: what can i do with the board alone until the ram arrives? Are there any cores that work without any additional ram?
Cheers

Re: MiSTer Multisystem - All-in-One System
I would order this in a heartbeat, but since brexit, it is totally unclear to me what taxes and customs i will have to add to the price. What about vat? Do i have to pay this or are these taxes to be payed in my country (germany). How high are taxes/customs? I heard the parcel service also charges additionally for registering the parcel for customs...

Thanks a lot @katheen for checking this out! This Demo Screen is very sofisticated, so its good to see that it works (sync-scrolling, fullscreen, etc.). Probably you should get an new copy of the Cuddly Demos, this Version seems corrupt. Normally this screen does not crash on a real ST ...

Hi Kathleen,
thanks for your reply and for checking out UNION Demo, good to hear it is working!
Of course you are totally right, there are lots of TCB Demos. I meant "The Cuddly Demos" (http://www.atarimania.com/demo-atari-st ... 16231.html)
Thanks,

Demos?
Hi,
didn't find a lot using the search: Do DEMOs usually work?
What about the tricky stuff, e.g. sync-scrolling, borders, etc.?
Can someone confirm some demos working correctly, e.g. UNION-Demo, TCB-DEMO and so on?
Thx and Cheers,
Ray
