Re: Bandai RX-78 Core Released!
Very cool!
I have found the BIOS for the RX-78, but am struggling to find a library of software. Not much is showing up on IA. Can anyone share any details on this?

This is great. I really love the museum aspect of the MiSTer. Really good that it is combined with game preservation and that the core is already so accurate.

Re: Bandai RX-78 Core Released!
Does somebody know how to get "Sekigahara" running?
It's only listed here:
https://www.gamingalexandria.com/wp/202 ... preserved/
After loading the BIN I don't get a small beep and pressing space, S and G won't do anything.
All I get is "*L", even when "EXT RAM" enabled because it's a 32KB ROM.

Re: Bandai RX-78 Core Released!
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I see that there are only a small number of games. I know very little about the RX-78 platform. Was software support limited?Xbytez wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 2:10 pm

According to Wikipedia there were only 20 games for it.ARCADEAGES wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 3:14 pm Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I see that there are only a small number of games. I know very little about the RX-78 platform. Was software support limited?

Me too. There's systems you can get I know little or nothing about. It's amazing. I've never even heard of this system so I'm very excited.LamerDeluxe wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 8:01 am This is great. Re: Bandai RX-78 Core Released!
I couldn't find the core either and I looked everywhere including Computers. I'm at a loss as to why the update_all script didn't install it because the only way I found out about this new core was from my "update_all.log". Any idea as to why that might be?
That said, I was able to download the core and add it manually as well a create an RX78 directory in games and everything seems to be working so thank you very much!

Thanks for the core!
The RX-78 is a lovely machine.
On my CRT the picture is slightly squeezed and positioned to the right. I tried the following settings and the display looks correct:
[RX78]
vga_scaler=1
video_mode=640,6,56,66,224,14,8,18,12000
