I don’t think so, I don’t think that it came with any instructions. I’ll have to check.

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
i've the N64 SNAC adapter from ultimatemister shop and is working flawlessly with a original N64 controller. But unfortunately it's not working with the wireless dongle from this controller:
https://retrofighters.com/our-collectio ... s-edition/
The dongle works in my original N64 but with the SNAC adapter it seems that it don't get enough power. Is there any way to get more power out of the SNAC adapter? Or has someone another idea?
Thanks
Edit:
Using the dongle now with Raphnet N64 V3 adapter.
Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Just a tip,
For the Nintendo n64 nso controller, and the brawler64 nso Edition, you can use the 8bitdo adapter dongle, instead of an general BTmodule. The 8bit do retro usb adapter presents itself as a joyoad, not as a device, benefits from less lag.
Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
I'm experiencing the same "start button" problem with a SAFFUN USB Version Classic N64 Controller. How did you fix it?

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Have you mapped the controller in the MiSTer main menu (not in the core?)
Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Thanks for the response!

You mean "Define/Map Joystick Buttons" in the System Settings? If so,
- That begins to take me thru the mapping of a conventional, non-64 Game Controller. When it asks for X and Y, etc., should I just skip them? And should I pretend the C buttons are a right D-pad?
- I currently use an 8BitDo SN30 Pro USB gamepad to navigate the menus and as the default controller for games… would this mess that up?

Don't skip the buttons, register all buttons of your controller. Don't register the analog stick. It will be detected by the core without registering it in the main menu.
Registering the second controller will not mess up anything on the SN30 controller. The configuration is on a per controller level.
Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Thanks Chris23235, that worked!
I briefly encountered the other problem Swainy recounted ("up & down have stopped working on the analog stick"). It turned out the issue was that I had been giving up on the main menu controller setup process too early… eventually it comes around and asks you to configure Analog Stick 1 for a second time!

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
i wonder if somebody got the rumble with the 8bitdo wireless kit to work wiht MiSTer n64 core?
Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Cross post from the section "input devices"
But maybee an informative:
Problem, Brawler 64 does not work properly on some n64 games (concker bad furday) (looses connection only hard reset helps)
Explain the problem:
When playing "Conckers bad Furday" with a brawler64 controller, when using "crouch function", or get some kind of rumble, or in a specific part of game, the connection in the core to the controller is lost, and it inputs last know commands.
I had it mostly when using the crouch function, and on the part in 1st level whem you have the 2nd bridge, and crouch on the bridge, and crouching to the end of bridge.
Connection is fine between dongle and controller, however not to the N64core. Only a hard reset of the MISTer, (power cycle) put it out of this situation.
Tested with turbo core , normal core. Rumble pack on and off, V1 and V2 adapter on different firmware. Controller on different firmware.
Maybee this is common knowledge here, but i was not aware..
After some extensive testing i have com up with a solution that works:
Items used:
-8bit dongle v2 (version 1 does not work stable in mine case)
-PSX or, switch, or Xbox controller compatible with the used dongle.
1: Pair dongle with PSX , switch or XBOX one to the v2 dongle
2: Set dongle into D-input mode. (psx) (share + left dpad) for 3 sec. light wil blink om dongle confirming switch to D input.
3: Set brawler64 to d input mode (hold B+bind button on back) top and bottom led blinks conforming Dinput mode
and is in pairing mode
4: Press bind botton on dongle. Brawler 64 should connect, confriming by rumble and solid led on top and bottom on controller.
(confirming controller is bound in D-input)
5: You only have rumble support on "X-input". So there is no rumble in n64core with this controller.
NOTE:
For games such as "F-zero" and "Starfox" you want to do the following:
Set controller up in N64 core. When used to "setup alternative", select "YES".
Select the "right Z button" to also be "R". So both triggers are "do a barrel roll" or in F-zero to "lean the vehicel" with both
triggers/

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
Hey All… Anyone else having an input issue in the core with controllers that don’t have an analog stick? I’m using an 8BitDo M30. Games like Jet Force Gemini that use both the analog stick and dpad (for non essential gun shortcuts), for me they just don’t work – you change your gun and then as soon as you move, a dpad input and analog inputs are registered at the same time and your gun gets changed. I have no analog inputs attached on the main mister menu and in the n64 core doesn’t ask for analog inputs, also the core settings have been changed to swap analog <-> DPAD and Analog Stick Swap. Maybe I’m doing something wrong or it’s an isolated issue, maybe something to do with my choice of pad. Anyone else effected by this?

Working with generic Bluetooth dongle and gamepad set to switch mode.

Re: Nintendo 64 Input Situation
The Analouge 3D just got opened up for preorders. This includes the 8bitdo N64 controllers
Edit: Correction, the date that preorders will open has been revealed

Any 3.3v regulator will work, I just happened to have a LD33V on hand.
I split the end connector open and there was enough space to fit the regulator inside.
The IO pin (D-) is at the correct voltage level of 3.3v, so no level shifter is needed.
I had no issues so far, been playing for hours.
Thanks for sharing the details! Built one this afternoon and no issues so far, just switched Pad1 to SNAC and smooth sailing!
